One of the best shore excursions in Alaska. The scenic train ride through the beautiful trees and snow. The air was so fresh. Train was clean too. The views are good... But they could be so much better if the actual train was of good quality. It's an old style train with rather small windows and they don't serve food although they do have free water bottles available The overall experience was good but not really worth the price It is a train so that worked for me. The cars are okay but I mostly stood on the platform. My wife thought the seats were hard. The views in several places are stunning. Given the history it is a must see. Buy tickets in town and save 40% over cruise excursions. They run multiple trains each day and have to keep to their schedules. Truly beautiful! The train was a great way to see the scenery and take in the amazing views. Would highly recommend! I had the best time on this trip. From sea level to snowy mountain passes, it was an incredible way to see the extremes of Alaska.
