Several friends and I had a late lunch and some brew and this was the best location we visited for a great meal and the best beer I have had in many years. They treat as if they have known you for your whole life. Stopped in for a quick bite while in port. Neat place, Local Flare and not overly touristy. Beer is good. Nice to have something other than the regular stuff. Was on an excursion and kept hearing about spruce tips and then heard these folks have a spruce tip brew. had to try it. not bad. Easily in the top two best places to eat in Skagway. The foods delicious, and the alcohol selection is the best in town. Just like everywhere in Skagway you'll be paying a pretty penny for whatever you get, but the food makes it worth it. Cute place! Was busy and we had 6 people (4 adults and two kids) so had a little bit of a wait (45 minutes or so). I personally am not a beer drinker but we tried their sampler - which is 4 of their beer for $8, and the 2016 Barley Wine $10. The Spruce Tip Beer everyone talks about is good! They were out of the brown one they carry so subbed in Alaskan Port. On Tuesdays it's appetizers on special - we tried their onion rings (amazing!), and the crab artichokes dip. We had a couple burgers, mac and cheese, grilled cheese and fish and chips with the barley mushroom soup. All was amazing and delicious. A must stop place while in skagway - worth the wait! Just had beer here, no food. Fun old place, but small. It's packed at lunch. Had the IPA, and it was fantastic. After a disappointing search for a good IPA in Juneau, this place was right on the money. Light bodied, crisp, but full hop flavor. Pretty hazy, but no off flavors. Excellent. Service from bartenders is awesome as well.
